NBC Orders Office-Like Comedy With DC Superheroes

It seems NBC has ordered an Office-like comedy set in the DC Universe.

Titled Powerless, it’s being billed as “an office comedy about the exceedingly average employees at an insurance company and their quest to find their own power.” It is also reported to be “full of superheroes, villains and people just like us.” The show is being penned by Ben Queen, the guy who wrote Cars 2.  Sooooo probably not gonna be great, just sayin’.

This just sounds like a really……weird idea. Kind of like NBC wants to get in on the success The CW and CBS are having with Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl respectively, but with their own twist. I hope it’s not just regular people working at the insurance company. It might be funny to see Batman working a 9 to 5 alongside Joker seeing who can sell the most life insurance. Or maybe The Joker sells a ton of fire insurance and then burns every one of his client’s houses down.

The point is, this might be the dumbest thing ever made or the greatest thing ever made. Time will tell.
