You may remember a few weeks ago we interviewed Chris Kesler about his teams Kickstarter for Allison Road, a horror game with striking similarities to P.T. The team seemed extremely excited about the prospect of getting the game funded and it seemed as though it was on the way to success.

That’s why it was such a surprise to receive an email this morning from Kickstarter informing me that the project had been cancelled. In a new Kickstarter update, they informed backers

As a newly founded studio, we’ve been completely overwhelmed by your encouragement and huge interest in Allison Road and we’d love to thank each and every one of you for all of the amazing support you have given us during our Kickstarter campaign and beyond. Really incredibly appreciated.

However, for those of us who were excited for the game, there is good news. While the Kickstarter has been cancelled, the game has not. In fact, the company has teamed up with Team17, the company behind the Worms franchise, and who have recently teamed up with Playtonic to publish Yooka-Laylee
