Red Thread Games has announced that Dreamfall Chapters – Book One will be available to download on Steam for PC and Mac, and on Linux on Tuesday, October 21.

Dreamfall Chapters is a Kickstarter-funded adventure game series which will act as a follow-up to the award-winning and bestselling adventure games The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. The game will follow three characters across two worlds. Players will explore locations and themes and the course of their journey will be made through their choices and actions. The game’s social system will give players the option to see what decisions their friends made as well.

Dreamfall Chapters – Book One encompasses the prologue and first two chapters of the game, with Books Two through Five scheduled for release in the future. The game is also scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 in early 2015.
