Harmonix Survey Gauges Interest in New ‘Rock Band’ Game

Looks like Harmonix is toying with the idea of getting the band back together.

In a new survey, the developers are asking if gamers would be interested in seeing a new Rock Band game for the current generation of consoles. And while they seem to be focusing on PS4, Xbox One and Wii U, there is a question if maybe one more go around on last gen – Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii – would be of interest as well. Another question asks just how many of those plastic instruments that you still got laying around the house are still working.

While this is no means an official announcement that a new Rock Band game is coming, Harmonix Chief Creative Officer Alex Rigopulos did say that the franchise was “something we’ll return to at the right point in time, and reimagine it as appropriate for its time.”

Harmonix is officially currently working on Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved, Dance Central: Spotlight, Chroma and a reboot of Amplitude, which you can learn more about by reading our interview with Harmonx’s Nick Chester.

I, for one, loved Rock Band Back back in the day but don’t know how much I would end up playing a new version. What about you? Leave us your thoughts in the comments below.
