You gotta admire the guts of Ubisoft.

On the eve of the biggest beta release in recent memory (I’m talking about Destiny, of course) Ubisoft and Carbon Games have announced that AirMech Arena, their fast-paced real-time strategy mech game, will also have a closed beta starting July 23.

The closed beta will include single-player levels as well as cooperative and competitive multiplayer gameplay for teams of two to three players. Airmech Arena will be a free to play title for Xbox 360 gamers but a Gold Xbox Live Account will be needed to access multiplayer portions of the game.
