Developer Over The Moon has announced that the first episode of its Metroid-inspired indie game The Fall will be available May 30 via Steam for PC, MAC and Linux for $9.99 with a Wii U version released shortly after. The Fall reached its Kickstarter funding goal in less than a week last September and was greenlit by the Steam community.

“I’ve wanted to make a game like this for as long as I can remember, but I never knew how to make it happen” says John. “Thanks to Kickstarter, we were finally able to not just create The Fall, but to really push it in interesting directions. We’ve got a really unique story with some engaging ideas, some very compelling gameplay, a beautiful world to explore, and a fantastic cast of professional actors, with a strong female lead. The Fall has become the game I’ve always wanted to play, but couldn’t find.”
