New World Interactive has announced that the first of many free updates coming to its hardcore, squad-based shooter Insurgency, is set to release this week.

Entitled Molotov Spring, this free update will include two new maps, additional game modes, improved co-op gameplay, more weapons and more weapon attachments,

Having previewed and reviewed Insurgency, we felt the game had a ton of potential upon its release. Hopefully Molotov Spring will turbo charge that potential and help make this indie shooter a more viable option for those with Call of Duty and Battlefield fatigue.
