Rayman Legends Delayed Until September; No Longer Wii-U Exclusive

Rayman Legends was the one game that really made me want to buy a Wii U. Rayman Origins is one of the best platformers released on the current gen consoles and having played the demo for Rayman Legends, I was psyched for the sequel. Well, today at the DICE summit, Ubisoft announced that the game would be delayed until September.

As if that were not enough, the publisher also announced that the game would launch simultaneously on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Speaking with IGN,  managing director of Ubisoft’s French studios, Xavier Poix, said,

When we saw all the comments when we announced the game would be focused on Wii U, all of the people that have both the PlayStation 3 and 360 were really disappointed…so we thought it was making more sense to also bring the game to where it was originally from. That means Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So we decided to go for a multiplatform launch simultaneously.

While I’m excited that I will get to play Rayman Legends without buying a Wii U, it’s also a fairly large wait. How do you all feel about this delay?
