The first Borderlands 2 downloadable expansion is set to release next week on October 16. Entitled Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, this expansion will take place in a new area which features the bandit-occupied slums of Oasis. It will also contain The Sand Skiff vehicle along with a new currency called “seraph crystals.”

Captain Scarlett is the first of four planned expansions for Borderlands 2. It will cost $9.99 individually or you could pick up the Borderlands 2 Season Pass and download all four expansions at that discounted price of $29.99.
