Director Michael Bay has confirmed that Mark Wahlberg will be starring in Transformers 4 when it arrives in theaters on June 27, 2014. The two recently worked on Paramount Pictures’ Pain and Gain together.
“Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on Pain and Gain and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy,” said Bay.
The script for Transformers 4 was written by Ehren Krueger, who also wrote Dark of The Moon and Revenge of The Fallen, and will reportedly set out in a new direction from the franchise’s earlier entries.
While I’m not a huge fan of Mark Wahlberg in general, he can’t be any worse than Shia LaBeouf right? Right??
